Who We Are
The Historic Third Ward Association is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to creating
a healthy, inclusive, and thriving neighborhood for everyone who lives, works, and visits the Third
Ward.
Our community includes more than 600 businesses, nonprofits, and residents. The HTWA
is supported by a professional staff, a 19-member Board of Directors representing a cross-section
of neighborhood interests, and a strong partnership with Business Improvement District #2.
Our members share a love of the Third Ward and a commitment to its continued success. HTWA
membership provides access, influence, and opportunity: access to member-only events and
information; opportunities to engage on neighborhood and public policy issues; and meaningful
ways to connect with neighbors and community leaders.
What You'll Get
As an annual member, you’ll be the first to hear about new and upcoming Historic Third Ward events. Members play an important role in shaping the HTWA’s strategic priorities
and providing input on key programs and issues affecting the neighborhood. We offer multiple
ways to stay informed, get involved, and meet fellow residents, businesses, and community
leaders.
Your membership supports public events such as Gallery Night MKE, Christmas in the Ward, and
the Third Ward Art Festival. As a member, you will be invited to exclusive events including the
HTWA’s holiday celebration at the Milwaukee Public Market, our spring Annual Meeting (with
voting rights), and neighborhood networking events. Plus, you’ll receive early access
opportunities for events like our long table dinner, Gather.
Members also receive participation opportunities in resident group and public safety meetings, a
complimentary subscription to Milwaukee Magazine, and a Milwaukee Public Market Tuesday
Discount Card.
If you are already an HTWA member, thank you for your continued support! Your involvement
helps ensure the Third Ward remains a dynamic and welcoming neighborhood for years to come.
