Summer Sizzle is a free, neighborhood festival and features live jazz -- best of local, regional and Chicago musicians -- in a variety of styles: traditional, Latin, swing, Dixieland and even blues.

Chefs of the Ward went head to head in the Mixed Basket Competition. Congratulations to Chef Dan van Rite and Sous Chef Adam Schieri of Hinterland and the Third Ward’s Iron Bartender 2011 champion, Alejandro Pour-A-Lot of Chic Lounge.

Art Milwaukee will be Artin’ with live painting, sculpting and will be asking for your ARTicipation by hosting an open canvas session!

| 4-6pm | Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble Gypsy jazz group, Influenced by Django Reinhardt, performs "hot swing" repertoire, originals and uniquely arranged standards. |
| 6:30-8pm | Agnieszka Iwanska Polish-born Iwanska sings originals in a sultry, sensitive style. Howard Reich hails her as the "voice of promise in contemporary jazz." |
| 8:30-10:30pm | Swing Nouveau Twirl and boogie in the streets to the hip, high energy sounds of this 15-piece vintage swing band. Groovy! |

| 12:30-2:30pm | Dick Eliot Master guitarist Dick Eliot expertly roams jazz archives, with superb bassist Don Eliot. |
| 3-5pm | Kringel-Tatnall-Calarco Trio sends out intense grooves with popular standards and funky originals. |
| 6-8pm | Ray Tabs & Ollie Davis Solid pianist Tabs and soulful vocalist Davis perform night filled with dynamic jazz. |
| 8:30-10:30pm | Eric Jacobson Group evokes suave sounds of Freddy Hubbard and Art Blakey, with hints of Latin jazz and funk of Donald Byrd. |

| 12-2pm | Terry Sims Keyboardist Sims celebrates positive vibes and undiluted jazz funk. |
| 2:30-4:30pm | Pam Duronio & Tim Stemper Vocal diva Pam Duronio and ace guitarist Tim Stemper create cool, upbeat jazz. |
| 5-7pm | Eric Jacobson Group evokes suave sounds of Freddy Hubbard and Art Blakey with hints of Latin jazz and funk of Donald Byrd. |
| 8-10pm | Marcya Daneille Classically trained and soul-inspired jazz vocalist delivers remarkable renditions of favorite tunes. |
