Ayre in the Square 2013 Lineup (subject to change)

Thursday, June 13 - Micah and the OCD Big Band

Upright bass mixed with the tastiest drumming this side of Lake Michigan, one jazz fusion guitarist, with one folky guitarist, and 4 guys singing together.

Thursday, June 20 - Roxi Copland

Described as “Norah Jones with bite." Beautifully blurring the boundaries of blues, jazz & pop, this talented singer/songwriter/pianist won’t disappoint.

Thursday, July 27 - Thriftones

The four piece group draws its inspiration from an endless pool of musical genres. You might feel a funky 70's jam end and a weird sonic freak-out begin.  A spastic and aggressive rocker lead into a crooning waltz.

Thursday, July 4 - Honey & the 45s

Honey combines elements of folk, blues, jazz, funk, and soul. Powerful vocals, pocket grooves and a sometimes playful, sometimes rockin’, sometimes somber sound.

Thursday, July 11 - Charlie Walker Band

Charlie Walker’s passion for music shines through his soulful ballads blending elements of folk and acoustic pop leaving the audience wanting more.

Thursday, July 18 - Archie Powell & The Exports

Archie Powell & the Exports have made a career of grafting prismatic power pop and sardonic, dark looks at the world outside into guileless songs with hooks galore.

Thursday, July 25 - Kane Place Record Club, Vic & Gab

Frank's Power Plant describes Kane Place Record Club, ""Think: Beatles. Think: Belle and Sebastian. Think Zombies (Odyssey and the Oracle), think delightful, endearing soul."

Vic and Gab are a song writing sister duo who play mesmerizing, grooving and powerfully catchy indie pop.

Thursday, August 1 - Reverend Raven

Reverend Raven and the Chain Smoking Altar Boys play traditional blues, straight up with a big dose of passion. With smoking grooves, served up with hot harmonica and smooth stinging guitar they play original songs peppered with nods to Slim Harpo, Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Billy Boy Arnold, Junior Wells and the three Kings.

Thursday, August 8 - All Good Things

Twisting and bending the folk genre as he see's see fit, John Petty puts a unique spin on the time-honored Americana sound, through a fresh batch of influences including alt rock, indie, folk, and pop.

Thursday, August 15 - Artflow

Thursday, August 22 - Static Chicken

If you don't know about the Chicken, you're missing out!
