July 23-24 Gallery Night & Day Participants:

Presented by the East Town and Historic Third Ward Associations, the 17-year-old Gallery Night & Day has grown into the premier art event in Milwaukee for both the experienced artist and most beginning admirer. The quarterly event has 58 venues throughout the downtown area to choose from.

The two-day event, spanning Friday evening and Saturday during the day, will again feature free parking in the Historic Third Ward parking structures. Ride the Friday Gallery Night Xpress FREE! The 3-stop route will take you from the Third Ward to East Town to the Milwaukee Art Museum. The 20-passenger bus will make a continuous loop from 5 to 9pm with stops every 15 minutes.

    The Rosenblatts: A Family Exhibition June 30-August 8. Two generations of a single Milwaukee family are represented. Acclaimed artist Tom Uttech deftly straddles the world between myth and reality, magic realism and literal representation. Inspired by the glaciated forests and boundary waters between Minnesota and Canada , Uttech paints to conjure a curiosity from the viewer and to evoke a response to awe of nature. His allegorical woods are often carved by wandering waterways, stocked with elephantine rocks and surrounded by half-hidden creatures as surprised to see us, as we are to see them.
